Habitat for Humanity of Seneca County & Seneca Housing, Inc. to Host a Fourth of July Home Decorating Contest

Seneca Falls, N.Y. – President Biden recently declared June as National Homeownership Month. In honor of homeownership month, Habitat for Humanity (HFH) of Seneca County and Seneca Housing, Inc. are teaming up to bring Seneca County homeowners a chance to compete for one of three summer prize packs by decorating their home for our nation’s Independence Day!

Highlight your patriotism, show off your decorating skills or just have fun by entering the Fourth of July Home Decorating Contest, sponsored by Generations Bank. Seneca County residents are encouraged to participate in the contest by decking their porch or the front of their house with American flags, flowers, wreaths, or any patriotic decorations. The most patriotic houses will win! Three winners from Seneca County will be selected, one from Waterloo, Seneca Falls and South County. 

The winning entries will receive a Char-Broil brand Performance Black 4-Burner Liquid Propane Gas Grill with Side Burner; a 26-inch wood-burning fire pit with copper and steel accents; an 11-QT Igloo cooler in turquoise; 2 grey stackable outdoor stackable resin rockers; A s’mores kit and grilling accessories- each prize pack has a more than $500 value!

After you have decorated your home, simply fill out the form on this page and upload the best pics of your freshly decorated home! 

All entries should be submitted by June 30, 2021, to be eligible to win the summer prize pack. The names of the winners will be announced on July 1, 2021, on the Seneca Housing, Inc. Facebook page. Winners are responsible to pick prize packs up no later than July 10, 2021.
